Buwan ng Wika Celebration
Science Month Celebration
Science
is a system for exploring and innovation. It can fuel our nation's economic
growth. It can form a path for our young people in a competitive marketplace
and it can fire our innovation. It also satisfy many basic needs and improve
living standards. This year, we celebrated the National Science Month with the theme:"Metabolize:Nourishing the Filipino Youth Towards National Well-being"
At just glance, it talks about eating nutritious foods and having healthy lifestyle. For accomplishing our daily task effectively is hard without proper nutrition.
However, if we analyze the theme, it seeks on having a safe and healthy environment. It also seeks on the youth to be better version of themselves. It includes socialization and having solutions on every challenge they meet. It helps the people to be innovators with the help of science and technology.
With this, it will lead us Filipinos to be national well-beings. for the betterment not only of one's self but of our nation.
Happy Schools Movement
School is where the children, the hope of our future , grow as a better person.
It is a place together with the teachers mold the student for the best that he
can be: enhancing his skill, discovering talents, overcoming weaknesses. these
are just the few significant things that the school can give. however, in this
generation, children lacks the eagerness to study and find school as a boring
place.
With this, the Department of Education implemented the happy schools movement to promote every school in the region as a better and enjoyable place to study. This movement also aims to offer an alternative motion of the quality of education that values and nurtures learners' diverse talents and strengths.
In my experience, it is an effective way. It gives as fun in learning from different subjects and it makes our education joyful. we should support the happy school movement for school is full of fun and enjoyment.

Solidarity Cultural Festival
“Join us as we once again celebrate our unique culture this September with various activities,” Mayor Juan Carlos S. Medina said as he invites visitors and residents alike to enjoy interesting activities lined up for this year.
The Solidarity Food and Trade Fair at the Vigan Convention Center, Paseo de Vigan, and the Tres Patrimonio Zarzuela on September 1 opened the month-long event.
Other events of the festival from September 3 to 7 include singing competitions, photography, zarzuela Ilocana (Ilocano stage play), dallot (a part of the Ilocano oral tradition of debate through singing), kinnantaran (a form of debate between a man and a woman through singing), cultural quiz, sabayang pagbigas (speech choir), daniw (poetry), storytelling, writing on the history of Vigan as told by senior residents, painting, and folk dancing.
In the morning of September 8, the Solidarity Mass and renewal of pledge to heritage conservation was held at Vigan Cathedral while the history of Vigan came alive in a street drama and Solidarity parade in the afternoon. At night, a cultural show was showcased.
For three years now, the festival has been featuring the Chinese Community Solidarity Festival to appreciate the contributions of the Chinese community in the development of the city. This started on September 17 and will run until September 30 at Sikatuna street in Barangay 1.
The presence of the Indians in the city is also appreciated by the city government by staging the Indian Community Solidarity Day that began in 2017. This year, it will be on September 22 at the Indian Sikh Temple in Barangay IV.
The role of the city’s youth in the preservation of the World Heritage City is the focus of the Heritage Youth Congress on September 22 and 23 at the Vigan Convention Center.
In December 1999, Vigan City was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List of Sites and Monuments as the city, which was established in the 16th century, is the “best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. Its architecture reflects the coming together of cultural elements from elsewhere in the Philippines, from China and from Europe, resulting in a culture and townscape that have no parallel anywhere in East and South-East Asia.

National Eathquake Drill insight
National
simultaneous earthquake drill insight
The
Philippines frequently experiences seismic and volcanic tremors because it lies
along the Pacific Ring of Fire , which is an area in the basin of the Pacific
Ocean where a large number of
earthquakes occurs. In recent months , for example , a number of earthquakes
shook parts of the country. While there were no reported major damage or loss
of life , these incident could indicate that the Big One is probably coming ,
as the Major Philippine fault lines have been disturbed.
For
us in academe , it is best to be prepared and ready for all eventualities ,
because no one can predict when earthquakes will happen. School cannot be
closed in advanced due to earthquakes ; neither can we suspend classes , like
we do when there’s a storm warning. However , with proper training and advance
planning , everyone in our school community can be prepared to react approximately
during and after the occurrence of an earthquake.
The
best approach is to create a comprehensive , all – hazards emergency plan and
implement earthquake drills so we can
instill in the winds of students the correct procedures to be followed during
the actual occurrence. All these will help ensure that there will be no confusion
or panic among students and faculty members.
Healthy Lifestyle, a Healthy Life
Healthy Lifestyle, a Healthy Life
Health is Wealth , is the cliché this time
of year not only in SMAD, but in the whole
country as we celebrate Nutrition Month. The reason we celebrate Nutrition
Month is to remind ourselves that being healthy is very important and that if
we love ourselves, we should love our body that is by practicing good health
habits.
We should train ourselves to have a better
lifestyle to be healthy. We should do proper exercise and eat healthy. We
should make ourselves have longer energy span, we should beat the energy gap.
We should set goals and beat them, not just achieve them, beat them.
Take
note of what you are eating, we should control the fat and cholesterol. We
should improve our body. We should also join activities related to health
improvement and also to activities that is related to having a physically fit
body.
Always eat healthy, do
proper exercise, control what you eat, avoid eating processed foods, and also
avoid eating in fast food chains and to junk foods
